Description

We are in the final stages of the TULIPP project and part of the project goal is to open the concept to a wider Ecosystem. We need external resources/experts that can use it to give feedback to the partners and then also improve it, so will require the PhD student to be interested in Image Processing, Sensors and Robotics.

It will involve use of the HIPPEROS RTOS – http://www.hipperos.com/ -running on a MultiCore Zynq FPGA and testing a toolchain developed by Magnus Jahres’s team @NTNU in Norway – http://www.ntnu.edu/employees/magnus.jahre – that uses Xilinx Vivado and SDSoC environment and the hardware platform from Sundance – http://www.sundance.technology/som-cariers/pc104-boards/emc2-zu4ev/

Timing

We are very flexible here; this could be a ‘part-time’ internship over longer than the suggested 3-months. Tulipp will finish in January’19, so that is a hard deadline. In terms of start date, then ideally it would be 1st June and if not possible, 1st September.

Location

Again, then we are flexible and it might be that the location is split amongst the Tulipp partners, but in terms of base location, then that will be United Kingdom.
