TULIPP demo running the HIPPEROS Real-Time Operating System

In this simple demo, the Sundance EMC2-DP (equipped with a Zynq-7030) is connected to a 720p HDMI camera and an HDMI screen. The board is running the HIPPEROS Real-Time Operating System which executes a task cycling between: A simple HDMI pass-through, The CPU implementation of the grayscale filter (~15fps) The FPGA accelerated implementation of the

Tulipp “Use-Case” demos…

The Tulipp Team busy getting the “Use-Case” demos going before the 18th month review that took place on Friday 20th October 2017. See video about the project here - http://tulipp.eu/ben-rodriguez-speaking-at-emva-2017/

TULIPP in HIPEAC Info Magazine April 2017

The HIPEAC Info Magazine 50, April 2017 has published an article entitled “A TULIPP IN THE FIELD OF MEDICAL X-RAY IMAGING” (p.15) , which describes two TULIPP H2020 project for the Medical X-Ray Imaging. The Info Magazine has also published an article on Synective Labs AB, one partner of the TULIPP project. The article is entitled " Magnus Peterson,

TULIPP presentation @FPGA Network: Implementing Machine Vision with FPGA and SoC Platforms, NMI Event, in MBDA, Stevenage, United Kingdom – May 18 2017

Machine Vision (MV) systems are ubiquitous, encompassing a wide range of applications from smart phones to ADAS and drones. Increasingly, these applications require intelligence at the edge or in the cloud, with FPGA and SoC based solutions forming the core of many MV systems. Flemming Christensen, Sundance, will present the TULIPP project. Key themes will

Advanced Driver Assistance

The use case chosen for the Tulipp project is about pedestrian detection. It represents one of several object detection use cases interesting for automotive applications, like vehicle detection, traffic sign recognition and obstacle recognition. These are normally designed with a classifier approach, where a trained classifier sweeps the image for detections in a grid pattern.

Medical X-Ray Imaging

Medical imaging is the visualization of body parts, organs, tissues or cells for clinical diagnosis and preoperative imaging. The global medical image processing market is about $15 billion a year. The imaging techniques used in medical devices include a variety of modern equipment in the field of optical imaging, nuclear imaging, radiology and other image-guided

Surveillance and Rescue UAVs

In recent years, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in different markets has increased significantly. Currently, most important markets are aerial video/photography, precision farming and surveillance/monitoring. Ongoing technical development, e.g. in size, endurance and usability, enables the use of UAVs in even more areas. First prototypes for delivering goods (e.g. DHL or Amazon) or
